Avoid temptation by pressing the red button.

Sosober puts one red SOS button on your phone. Press it and the people you trust get an instant alert, so they can reach you in under a minute — with a message or a call, before the moment passes.

Your support network is free. €0.99 a month for you, with a 7-day free trial.

The moment that decides the day, with a way out that takes one second.

The moment

It rarely starts with a decision. It starts with a place.

A bar on the way home. The shop you always pass at the same hour. An evening that gets long. The urge shows up fast, and willpower alone is asked to do too much in too few seconds.

Sosober is built for exactly that second. Not for the plan you made last month or the goal you set last year — for the one minute when reaching someone matters more than anything else.

One tap. No message to write, no explanation to give, no need to sound fine.

How it works

Three steps, set up once.

You do the first two calmly, on a good day. The third one happens when you need it.

  1. Mark your temptation zones

Add the bars, shops or streets that put you at risk. The app warns you as you get close. The comparison runs on your phone: your location is never sent to our servers.

  2. Invite people you trust

One or two are enough. They join with an invitation code and confirm they want to support you. Up to five people.

  3. Press the red SOS button

When the urge arrives, one tap is all it takes. Your network gets a high-priority alert and can reply or call right away, and you see who has seen it and who is answering.

The other side

Someone gets the alert and knows exactly what to do.

Your supporters don't need training or the right words. The notification says who needs help and offers quick replies they can send in seconds, or a call if that's better.

Trusted support network

Up to five people you choose, invited by code and confirmed by both sides.

Privacy

We ask for as little as possible.

Quitting alcohol is private. The app is designed so that most of what you do never has to leave your phone.

  • Only your name is required. No email, no phone number, no ID.
  • Your real-time location never leaves the phone. We store no movement trail.
  • Health-related data is handled under GDPR standards, with separate explicit consent.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
  • Deleting your account really deletes your data, zones, links and messages.

Privacy Policy Terms of Use Support

On-device by design

Your risk zones are stored encrypted and decrypted only on your phone. If you deny the location permission, the rest of the app keeps working.

If you are in crisis right now

Sosober is a peer support tool. It is not a medical or emergency service, and it does not replace professional treatment. The people in your network are volunteers, not health professionals, and they cannot guarantee they will always be available.

If your health or safety is at risk, contact your local emergency number or a helpline in your country. In the United States you can call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 1-800-662-4357 (SAMHSA National Helpline, free and confidential, 24/7). In the European Union, call 112.

Asking for professional help is part of recovery, not a step back.

FAQ

Questions people ask first.

Is the app really free for supporters?

Yes. If you join to support someone, you never pay. There is no trial and no card involved. Only the person quitting alcohol has a subscription.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

The first charge of €0.99 happens on the day the trial ends and renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your App Store or Google Play account. If the trial ends without a subscription, the app features are paused, but public helpline numbers stay accessible.

Does the app track my location?

No. The zones you mark are stored encrypted, and the comparison between your position and those zones happens on your phone. Your real-time location is never sent to our servers, and we keep no record of where you go. Denying the location permission simply turns off zone alerts.

What if nobody answers my SOS?

The alert goes to everyone in your network at once, which is why we suggest inviting at least two people. You can see the status of the alert at all times, and the app always keeps local helpline numbers within reach in case no one is available.

Is my data private?

We ask only for a name, which can be a nickname. Health-related data requires your separate explicit consent under GDPR, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers.

Is there a minimum age?

Sosober is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the app.

One step at a time. Never alone.

Set it up on a calm day, so it is already there on a hard one.
